Casting Crown's Praise You In The Storm

Wednesday, December 7, 2011 ·

The last quarter of 2011 proved to be tougher for me.  A lot of not so good things are going right now that I find myself a little discourage. But this song of the Casting Crown is enough to cheer me on and make me realized that all the problems I have at the moments are actually blessings in disguise.  I may not fully understand why I have to go through it, but my faith tells me that God always have a greater plan for my life, something that I can't even imagine possible. So despite these setbacks, I still praise God because He will lead me through this storm.

I hope you find comfort too from the lyrics of the song. May it give you the encouragement you need.  Regardless of our problems, it's still is a beautiful world and God is in control.

Praise You In The Storm

I was sure by now
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

[Chorus:]
And I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to you
And you raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You

But as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

[Chorus]

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
