I would have finished my
probation period by now had I continued my training with the new job I applied to
about a few months ago. But sadly, I have encountered some problems with regards
to my resignation from my present company, so I did not push through with the
new job. It would have been a home based job, something that I have always
wanted, but again it was not meant to be.
It has been ages since I had my
last job interview, so imagine how nervous I was, and add to that it was over
Skype.
I have never tried Skype
before. Being the pro-active person that
I am, I enlisted the help of my cousin by asking her days before the job
interview to chat with me using Skype.
It prepared to know the basics about Skype Calls. I am grateful because my cousin was gracious enough to help me practice using the Skype. She is really sweet.
During the actual interview, when
I turned on the Video, I keep adjusting the webcam because I cannot seem to
find the right light that will present a better look for me; I looked really
dark. I was nervous because I might not
get a good impression because the image I registered on screen was not really
good. I should have used Video ChatLight during the interview and most especially during the presentation of my
Search Engine Optimization research. I hope the interviewers understood the chart I have made despite the lighting.
Well, despite the problem with
the video camera, I still got the job; unfortunately, as I have mentioned some
conflicts got in the way so that did not push through.
But even if that job did not push
through, it was still a great learning experience for me.
