I love chocolates. It’s the perfect dessert to end a wonderful
meal. A chocolate bar is enough to put a smile on my face. But even if I love
it, I have to control myself from eating too much of it because of the extra
calories it can put on my body.
Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate is one
of my favorites simply because it’s a little healthier compared to the other
types of chocolate.
Dark chocolates have more cocoa
compared to the other variety of chocolates.
More cocoa means that it contains more Epicatechins, an active compound
that belongs to the flavoniods group. Flavonoids prevent cholesterol from
accumulating in the blood vessels, thus, preventing these from forming into
blood clots, therefore reducing the risk of heart disease.
Of course, even if it’s healthy
you have to still watch your intake of it because its calories can make you
gain weight.
